people really don't know .. I had a 18' Revenge Flatbotom that ran low teens. It weight 390 bare hull and had a Crower injected 468. Fastest excelleraton of anythg I ever drove.. People ( at the gas pumps etc ) would ask me how fast and I would tell them... They would say "Oh" like it was't that fast or something.. So I decided just to tell people (that don't know) it goes 2 hundred.. Then they would say "Really> That's awesume! " :D

We finally got them done. It was a couple of VERY long days. Here are some pics of one of the engines. The only thing we didn't have on them was a few of the water lines. They just clutter it up.
Pictures do not do any justice to the valve covers. Scott (littledcsrodshop) absolutely killed them. I would love to take credit for them, but I just send him some pics of the engines and boat and told him to run with it. It's obvioius from the pics that he is extremely talanted. If anyone needs some paint work, he's your man. Enjoy. Eddie |

let me be the 1st to say they look Awesome! I just wish those were being dropped into my boat:boat:
|
Looks awsome !!!! Erick should have nothing but a positive attitude from now on out .
|
Too cool! I sure hope these engines go the distance for the OP.
|
WOW!!!!
They look amazing!! Thanks to both Eddie and Scott for an amazing final product!!! I can't stop looking at them. Once the headers get put on it will really tie it all together. Now....where can I find a nice set of used polished 4 Liters???? |
How many cubes are they ? are they still 540's?

They're on their way to Fountain.

Thanks so much guys !!! The whole idea on these particular parts were to keep things clean, crisp & and somewhat simple.. I had several ideas rattling around in my head, but kept going back to the simplest design I had for them.. The entire package will only get better looking sitting in the bilge..
Despite what Eddie already mentioned about the Long hours that often seem to accompany this kind of stuff, it's always a pleasure and true honor for me personally to get my hands on something of this caliber !! I know for a fact that he feels the same about all the work that comes out of his shop as well, with the results of the time & effort speaking for themselves.. The attention to detail, and sheer amount of time that go into some of this stuff is nothing short of amazing in my opinion.. At the complete risk of sounding like somebody I'm not, I'll also add that it's something allot people will never fully understand.. All that to say Thanks again for the opportunity, and despite my part being fairly small in the spectrum of things it's been a really big deal for me personally to be involved with this project, and to be listed among the others who are getting there hands dirty on this is way cool for a lil brotha like me !! All that to say after I got a txt late last night from an ole worn out cajun I slept well !! ;-) Eric, despite you and your hommies being completely deranged, your Very Welcome !!! and after seeing your comment I plan to follow up with another good nights sleep again tonight.. Glad you liked them..;) |
Truly amazing build from start to start over to finish!! Good luck and can't wait to see the water test results!

Thanks bud. But, I can't rest just yet. There are 8 more Whipple engines and 3 Procharged engines and 2 with Weiands that need to be finished right behind these 2. That doesn't include having to install ALL of them, all of the rigging work, steering and trim tab installs, etc., etc., etc.
THanks again for some truly awesome work. THe pics do thecovers no justice. You can't see all of the flake in the blue and silver. Hell, you can't even tell it's silver around the name. It looks white in the pics.Anyone that sees it in person will be just as impressed as we were when we saw them. You da man. Eddie |

Might as well replace the the hatch actuators too. I bet there wore out over the last 4 years, and if not they will be from dock display use.
Looks good can't wait to see it, and than go for a ride. Mark |
