C'mon Mark-

It was a 55...I still have that pic somewhere.

I will take your spare drive...what other parts do you have? :lolhit:

My standups were the same caliber as the boat...You should know, you rode mine and came back in with a boner.

TRL505 knows everything, and he tells me everything, that's how I know everything...

Is Black Magic prowling yet?

You love all things "boner" related dont you?

FPM should have motors today or tomorrow. They need a couple days to get things rigged and engines installed....Eddie and R3 have been talking...I think...lol. New pickups for intercooler strainers should be ready this week/early next. The big main strainer is getting chromed now to match Eddies Gangsta Bling motors. We are shooting to head out to FPM on the 23rd. I will be eating Xanex like Tic-Tacs from now till then.

I'll be sure to wear my sunglasses when I pick up my boat so I won't be blinded by the Bling! They hit a home run on the valve covers, they really set the whole package off!

Just wonder why you had to dig thru pictures to find us being towed? Just found it well..... I will just leave it at that.

Just have a swept back Bravo Xr Just sold my Sportmaster, and Imco lowers. May have a couple one season gearsets maybe 50 easy hours. Just want to get away from the pains $$$ of Bravos.

Black Betty got some new paint on her.

Thought I saw the new one on the lift the other day?

If you can't drive a boat like a big jet ski what fun are they.

They showed up at FPM at 10am today. And of course one of them broke lose from the crate mounts and did some minor damage to the top blower pulley and scratched up the tensioner (Yes....I have the worst luck of anyone on the face of the earth.)

Aside from that, R3 has been talking to Eddie about the final rigging. FPM thinks they will have them dry fit by EOB tomorrow. Id like to think that they could be installed by Friday of this week if all goes well.

We are still shooting for heading out to FPM on the 23rd. Barring any major issues (which with my luck there will be no fewer than 17 of these..) this should all come together and we will be running it on our lake Memorial Day Weekend.

I think today the new race should begin.. Dean or Eric.. Who will hit the water first... It's the end of May almost..

Place your bets ...

As far as top speed. Eric will take it.. They will be neck and neck and Erics wifes top will blow off forcing Dean to try to get a better look. Then, at that moment they will cross the finish line.. Eric still on the gas.

or

You could just post a pic of those big ole knockers now and save Dean from the distraction :D

I know...compared to your engine compartment it seems like quite a big difference. I don't understand?? Maybe Lil R can chime in as to the difference between my engine compartment and yours.

I plan on sleeping back there. :evilb:

Entry is dialed in for the run. Got some new wireless intercom headsets that could be used for the event. Only downside is range is half-mile so the slow guys won't hear much from me.

Update:

Spoke with Wyatt last night and the push is on. R3 and the crew are busy doing final rigging. We had a small issue with exhaust clearance on one motor..but it got resolved. There were a few hoses, wires and fittings that had to be modified to accomidate for Eddies new setup...all parts are ordered. FPM has commited to working late and doing what it takes to get the build done on time....which is awesome. Eddie flys into NC on Tues 22nd to tune. We are still planning on a 5-24 lake test...and roll back to MO the evening of the 24th. FINGERS CROSSED!!!

Maybe Lil R or Wyatt can post some progress pics....Id like to see some as well!!

Had a chance to run mine today water pressure is good good water flow out from inter coolers but has adverse handling effects my wife was with as always never afraid of speed but I cranked it up 85 90 heading into strong s wind dead on and it hooked to the right I never touched the wheel we both freaked a little bit it wasnt good I thought it was a gust of wind that pushed us over, cruzed down river a ways and then started coming back with the wind decided to try it again 85 90 or so and it hooked to the left again not good I dont know if its blowout [ no rpm increase ] or the bullett skiing trying to lift the stearn up , I felt better with the sportmaster lower . Erick im curious to see how yours handles Im at a loss right now .

:poopoo:....Dean!! Im sorry to hear that man. Did you raise drives up on transom any or just install the -4's? I cant remember?? Were you running a -2 SC before? Thank God you guys didn't get hurt. An unexpected hook at any speed let alone 90+ MPH is NOT GOOD. Do you think the new wheels are giving you too much stern lift and stuffing the bow? Talk to me Goose....

Check the toe of your drives!!

575cat 05-18-2012 07:17 PM

Just went from standard SCX and -2 sportmasters to full-4 so yes went up 2 more inches wasnt a harsh hook but like someone grabs the bow and pulls you over , gets your attn !!!!! . I dont know if if higher is better or what ??? it does get on plane good though hold about 3000 and crawls up just dont dare to run at speed this way .
