every body talks prop shaft height .i think it is not getting your prop shaft even with the bottom it is getting the bottom of your bullet or gear case out of the water so it don't drag . then you can fly like the king says bye bye movie stars lol.

Manufacturing isn't an exact science, there are variations in the materials and the building process. You can take two new identical cars or two new F/A-18 Hornets, etc. and one will perform slightly better than the other. Where do you think the term "ringer" comes from?

waiting on the tail pipes from cmi .had to modify them to fit under the swim platform.can't wait to see how those 7 blade props are going to work and if i am going to be able to get on plane with prop shaft 2 1/2 in above the bottom .

Understand what you're saying, my background is in both automotive and defense engineering and manufacturing. My original question was to RF when they asked "how bad" is the bottom. I thought that was odd coming from the original manufacturer to use the word "bad".
