Well, individual assembling and testing has nothing to see with blueprinting the bottom, in my books.
That's an ADDITIONAL process, which takes time to be done properly.
I guess they used to do that at Fountain also on brand new boats, but only if and when the client was interested and willing to pay for it.
Because indeed, THERE IS a degree of uniformity, and probably a very good one, by most standards. But a degree of uniformity still doesn't mean absolutely perfect.
Blueprinting is meant to achieve that (as much as possible, that is), and as the OP said, it's probably a waste of money in most cases.
Then again, wasting money is the essence of powerboating, innit?

Ummmm.....with all due respect...the issues with my boat have NOTHING to do with what is going on with yours...and I would appreciate you not making the inferences that it has. I know for a fact that RF has been working on your boat the entire time while ours was in their shop. Do you honestly think that RF has been just sitting there watching your boat on the trailer while this entire debacle has unfolded on our 42Ex?? My boat has collected quantities of dust circa the 1800's dust bowl in NC waiting on motors....I highly doubt yours has been pushed to the back due to anything that is going on with my boat.
