When did they go to the bigger steps? 98?
Thanks and good luck!
late 98 was the year for the big steps .before bying this 97 i was looking at a 98 in lake cumberland and it still had the small steps .i like the small steps i only wish it had 3 steps insted of 2 .there is 12 feet of running surface from the last step to the rear i guess thats what makes it handle better by keeping the rear of the boat in the water.

3-9 months for exhaust? Not sure I'd call that being in a hurry. More like VERY patient. You can build a complete boat in less time. Course it won't have any exhaust.
