86 mph gps and gaining @ 5000 rpm. Im running stock 32 bravo ones that were turned out. Today I removed the downturn mufflers and turned my prop's IN. I hope to get out this week and really trim it out.

Did you run into issues with the downturns? I put a set on like yours, and the first day out, had a manifold spring a leak. I think it was jsut coincidence, but wated to see if you were having any issues too. If not< i'm going to keep running them, since they make a huge difference in the vibration issue. I got the manifolds on that motor changed out this weekend.

No, not a saltwater boat. And it had a crack in the interior of the manifold, just over #3 cylinder. It did hydrolock, but I think I dodged a big bullet and didn't bend a rod or anything. I really can't see how the downturns would have caused it, was just curious if I'm doing something that might cause problems down the line.

I have been out 5 times with my repowered boat. I put 10 hours on the motors. Ran high 80s. I did noticed a very light blue/white smoke from the port motor at idle when hot ,since I installed them. I that it was a valve seal. July 4th I dropped a valve. OUCH. Off to the machine shop this Monday. (BOAT) Bring Out Another Thousand.
