That comment about a one ton is crazy my insurance company made me seine a statement that my tow was listed by mfg to tow my weight, so just what do you think would happen if you were involved in an accident. SOL

My F350 is rated at 18,500 bumper pull and 22.200 5th wheel which both will cover what I am pulling.

The new Ram is rated for 30,000lbs, 37,000 combined.

A one Ton truck easily, safely and legally will tow a 47 fountain, and I personally would tow with modern 3/4 ton SRW.

Just curious, do you know what the 47's weigh, have you taken them to a scale when they have some fuel in them and mostly ready to go for a weekend? I did this with my 29' Fountain on a triple axle trailer, any guesses?

I bet your 29' full of fuel is around 9000 pounds.
Am I close?

Weight of 47' is listed as 16, 500 dry (I believe this is with twins). It holds 340 gallons of gas at 6.073 pounds per gallon so we are up to (2064.82) 18,564.82. Trailer weight estimate 3000? Oil + water estimate 200. Plus gear? Probably knocking on 22,000 pounds. Has to look HUGE being pulled down the road. What a boat! 90+ with twin 700s!

Your close, it's 8,560 with an "average" amount of fuel (somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 tank, tank holds 132)
