Should only need a small filler about 2-3" tall on each engine centerline in order to put the drives at the correct height.

Wouldn,t you have to get them down as close to the keel as possible for the right attack angle so not to push the nose of the boat down ?

No... The Keel has nothing to do with pushing the nose down as the keel is the center of the hull not the engine centerline. To get the propellers closer to the keel one would run a stagger setup. Proper installation of the #7M Kits does not require a full bottom so to speak just a transom height that will allow the boxes to be installed at the correct height. The way I designed the Arneson Standoff Box the notch does not need to be completely filled in for a stagger and mostly does not need anything for a side by side application.
