Taking the boat to the Ozarks to get some items worked on April 15th. Going to leave it there for a month or so. Talked with the brother in law, engine is going to be done before the end of April. Crunch time!

I used Eddie Marine tips. They have a SS teflon lined internal flapper. Unless you run out of water and cook the paint off your engine, those tips do not fail.

Took the boat to the Ozarks Saturday morning in all of the storms.. that was awful, but made it there in one piece. Made a stop at Cool Breeze Marine to get my prop after they fixed it all up. Looks fantastic!

Did y’all get a chance to run the boat in between the storms?

I wish, but currently the boat is without a drive or engine. So it was just a quick 8 hour round trip to drop it off this time.

Heads are off and getting rebuilt. Sounds like the roller tip bearings in the rockers were worn out and getting tight. Some oil consumption as well, but that should be resolved with this top end refresh. Glad we decided not to wait another year. Got lucky here for sure.

Also had some leaking in my out drive that I am going to get fixed up. excited to get on the water hopefully before the end of May.

Drove a little under 1500 miles with the father in law this weekend to get the engine in Wisconsin, drive it to the ozarks where my boat is to get installed and then back home.

On the home stretch now! Just have to put all the puzzle pieces together.

New bilge pumps, new blowers and hoses, engine oil, impeller are done, transom assembly is all back together after the leak was fixed. Engine is going in today and exhaust soon after to finish this "winter project" up.

Going to feel like a brand new boat when we are done. Planning to do some testing and then run in the shootout at LOTO in a couple of weeks if everything comes together in time.

Just got my invoice for my dock slip at Captain Rons, so I will be down there like I am every year.
