They didn't stop the "tuck" in 99, I have the similar problem on mine and its a 2001, the strip of padding between the back and seat, the staples pull out from the boat, caused from people stepping on it when sitting on engine hatch. I have been thinking of just taking the entire piece out??? Or replacing it with a removable one??
I will make a new thread to see if anyone else solved this problem??

I must not understand the area in question then. The '99 and newer Fountains have the new design seat cushion that I have seen. Maybe it's an option and I only seen the ones with it?
Thanks
Thanks

When I had the vinyl redone on my hatch covers,
I had the headrest section that rips out sewn in with a little
bit of slack sewn into it.
It doesn't look bad at all and beats the crap out
of having to have it repaired again and again.
I also have the torn seam seat problem.
Next time I think I'll get rid of that center section.
