I'm avail this week. Next week, I might be in FL boat testing, and thereafter it will get hectic.

Let's do a quickie local meet, anywhere on the Island is fine. Oarhouse would be great for me 30 min drive.

I also suggest that some of us do the whole route before the main run.

Cops: There's not much they can do, but they are known to do thorough safety checks if they want to get a point across. Just make sure that everything is aboard etc. And they do read OSO ...

FastFountain35,
It sounds like you guys are going to have a fantastic run. Our Chicago OSO group did a run like yours and it was a great time. This is the link to the original thread http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...ghlight=racine

A lot of people showed up that I recognized from the lake but never had the chance to meet. I have made a lot of great friends from that run and being on OSO. I hope you take lots of pictures to remember the first one . Just remember these things snow ball. The next run will be even bigger.
Good luck,
Dan

Although far from cast in stone, it looks like we are going to have many more boats than I ever thought possible! That being the case, I was thinking that a staggered start might be in order. Let's say 10 boat cells at 15 minute intervals. Again we need to wait for a fairly solid headcount but this is something we should consider to prevent possible problems.
