I had these on my last boat with Silent Choice and the Stainless risers.

They fit well but I had a problem with the bolts loosening up with the stock heads. Then I put Merlin heads on and the stock bolts bottomed out. Once I shortened them up, they worked perfectly and never leaked. Customer support from Stainless is great.

I didn't notice much gain when I first put them on. Maybe 1 or 2 at the most. Probably helped a lot with the heads and cam.

I have the stock CMI's on the 500EFI now and really like the access they provide.

I have a set on my 27, and two of my freinds have them on a 27 and 32 with no problems. You probably wont see any increase in speed but they are much lighter than stock, look and sound better!

Question

Is it possible to chrome the manifolds or do i need to keep them black or even Powdercoat them. I would like to add a little sparkle to the engine compartment.

They look great polished. They may require a lot of maint. so you would have to have them clear powder coated after the polishing.
