Yeah, the winds are alot calmer and the gulf is real smooth.

Except if we have a hurricane comming......

"A" , would be me. i do head too different locations throughout the summer with my STV tunnel boat though

Yeah it is alot of fun! It took me about 2 years now to adjust to the different style of boating here compared to back in MN on the St. Croix river....

I will second the smooth gulf. We took a couple of trips out thirty miles to a decent dive spot last year and the gulf was glassy all the way out. If we could just figure out a way to turn the sun done a little bit it would be perfect
