I will be e mailing all participants full event details on routing etc by 4 PM on Wednesday so check your e mail please.
If the Weather Channel forecast is correct with winds around 10 knots NNE ( onshore ) I believe even the smallest boats will be able to run up the coast. If NOAA is correct with winds at 15 knots out of the North then we may run 2 separate groups. All boats will run the ICW to Boca Grande then we may split at that time with larger boats running offshore up the coast and an ICW group for the smaller boats. Each Captain will decide if you have a larger boat or a smaller boat. LOL

Start time / place
As per post #1 in this thread, I thought I should confirm the starting time and place. Start at 10 AM ( NOT 11 AM ) from our usual location on the south side of the Sanibel bridge / causeway.
Please do not be late. it is unfair to larger group. Get fuelled up the day before. We will wait the usual 5 min grace period and by 10:05 AM be on our way.
Thanks,
Bob

I will make some calls in the morning and find you some. I used to go down a channel about 5 miles north of the Hyatt where a station sold fuel to cars and and had a separate set of pumps up on the bank with long hose for boats. Roadside instead of marina prices was good. I can show you and anyone else on a chart but forget the names.
If anyone knows please chime in.

I think the marina (I think its marine max) next to the salty dog bar and grill has 93. Its across the bay from the hyatt.

Hyatt / Marina Jack's and Jayboat !
Please take a look at this Google Earth pic closely.
As we approach Sarasota Bay from the south, Marina Jacks is on the right, before you get to the Ringling Bridge that goes out to Saint Armand's Key. There is a marked channel that will take you in. The Hyatt is on the north side of the bridge. Unless it has changed, you do not have to come off plane going under the bridge. ( CigDaze has confirmed below, no need to come off plane running under this bridge ) Jay will be on the bridge taking pictures as you approach and pass under the bridge. Even if you are staying at Marina Jacks pass under the bridge to the north side and then backtrack to Marina Jacks so Jay can get your picture.
Thank you,
Bob

Anyone that has an almost 200 mile range will be able to go up and back on the same tank of fuel...... if you leave full. I will confirm and post mileage shortly.
