This guy uses a 2 bladed prop. Notice one "ear" of the prop is nearly straight with zero pitch or cupping and the other "ear" is about 60 pitch. Probably runs like a washing machine with a big carpet in it.

I think the most fascinating thing about this dinghy is that it has one-sided external steering on the drive (I assume you can only turn in one direction...right or left...sure in the h*ll hope the reverse gear works to complete a turn) that looks like it both steers and holds the drive on the boat. Typical of cigarette rigging.

Also for further noise reduction the hub of the prop looks like it has been covered with bondo and packaging tape and that appears as well to hold the 2 blades on the hub. So if you hit a rock no damage to the internals.
