Going that fast in that big water is where the driver's skill means almost as much,if not more, as the boat.

A lot of people mistake the entire wave face as wave height. I would bet it was 3-5s he was running in.
I used to work on a 220 foot boat and 8s suck even in a boat that big.

Most peoples 6-8's are really 4-5's and 4-5's are really
2-3's.

I CAN TELL YOU THAT I HAVE RACED THE 38 ZR IN F 2 AND THE BOAT WILL RUN 80 IN 6-8 FOOT SEAS.

I Agree- Real 6-8' seas are nuts as usually there would be a 30+ knot wind along with it...
