my Sonic has one on,I hated them until I owned a boat with one. I have canvas that attaches to it that works great and like Crazy says put radar on and you will never be sorry! I dont have it yet but will as soon as I can afford it!

There not for me. very out dated. I don"t know any modern race boat using one today. Its just extra weight and somethig to hit your head on.

Personally, I don't like them,,,, But it's your boat and if YOU like the way it looks, it's your boat.... Go for it !!!

Tinkerboat, nice looking Scarab.
I used to have one on my 26' Mirage. It had been added to my boat and it interfied with the engine hatch. I had to remove the hatch to work on the engine ( it wasn't that heavy). I took the arch off and I like the looks a lot better. Now I can raise the front of the hatch more than 6". I still have to get hinges and a lift system.
