That is what you need the plane for. Flying out in your own thrash and crash, beats sitting in horrific traffic jams every few weeks during summer, err, evacuation season.

Perhaps I should start looking for a job in Florida, especially in Marathon... I have a feeling that it beats the **** out of Stockholm, Sweden...

Anyone looking for a Design Engineer?!

I was told that is why the position opened up. It was costing the guy there now too much $$ for housing

Several real nice liveaboard marinas in Marathon also, but it will cost you $300,000 + for a fifty foot slip. Add in the cost of a boat, and it is a bit cheaper than a waterfront house.

Well Cap, you are all set. Live on your boat in Marathon for a couple of years, probably the best time in your life, then transfer out of the hurricane zone back to PA. Rent your currrent house so you don't lose out on real estate appreciation.

I'd already be there if I were you.

I'll put in for it but I expect lots will.
I found out that people that do get it only stay a short time. ONLY due to housing costs. They fall deep in debt within 2 years or less then transfer out

Now is the best time to go...some housing is already backwards by %15-%20...
It's starting to be a buyers market...

It's the same here on Marco...
