Yup, Griff got it. JcPerf made a funny As to how much overdrive chad can handle, the only way to know is to put an IAT sensor in and monitor knock as well. The lack of an intercooler concerns me when you start speeding up a roots blower

chad,
im running twin hp500 efi long blocks with 420 mega blowers and nickerson/holley 750s with 5 lbs boost, it is very dependable and reliable at 5lbs . when i first put it together last year i had the pulleys switched and it made 8-9 lbs boost and i had too much timing and i had to put head gaskets on it after the first time out on one motor and eventually the second motor . i put the felpro hp marine gaskets on it after that i put 30 hrs onit and it runs great. i cant afford to break it so im leaveing it at 5lbs
kevin
ps what size pulleys do you have on your 420 , you could change a tooth and get up to 5lbs

..at that boost you won't need to worry about hitting 20 hours and needing an oil change,,,

5psi would be the most I would run...I know of someone running 8-71's at 6-7psi on their 540 BullDogs, and they have been replacing head gaskets almost every mid to end of each summer.

Is adding a innercooler a option?
