not a go fast hull, rigged w/ obs and a CC.

That bow/entry will mean alot when coming thru a snotty inlet.
I know size matters along with beam, but what impresses me on this hull is how wide the front of the boat is and how the spray is channeled around the sides of the boat. I wish they had a 26' size, I prefer a little more length, and width, and thats why I want to check out the Yellowfin, as well as ride in both. Check out some of the pics.

Brad, what was told to me is that the 27 is just being finished, it turned out to be called the 29. It mearsures out at around 32-32.5". The first one out will have trip 275's if I remember correctly and will be in the 225-250k range loaded out. They really need something in between the so called 20 and the 29.

The guy that owns the co is Kyle, extremely straight forward, military, and loves what he does, you can tell when talking with him. Explains in detail how the boat is completely cored, and so on. The dealer in Florida is Bob at Bluewater boat sales. He sells all upper end boats and yacts. He explained the family or origin of North Rip came from Hinkey yachts, if I am remembering correctly.Very fine vessels. Bob said over the last 4 years they have sold 10-12 and everytime one comes in he has to beg the person buying it to keep it for a few weeks to show the product. The yellow one came in yesterday, what a beautiful boat. The co.is growing but wants to do it in small steps. Very nice people, I felt real comfortable speaking with them, and the knowledge of his product vs his competition was amazing, and it was all done without bashing. In a nutshell, his biggest competition in the quality area was Jupiter and Yellowfin, in which Kyle explained how he was different. Speed was not his main objective, fishability and rough water prowless and longevity was what he was striving for in his boats. Needless to say I was impressed. Jeff

A little more reserch for the person who doesnt want to spend alot and will settle for upper middle at below middle prices, take a look at Stamas and Scout. Scout being the more reasonable of the 2. These boats are not in say the Regulator or Southport league, even below say a contender but for the money offer alot of quality. Jeff

That was another choice, along with Jupiter. I am trying to stay with in that 40-60k range for a quality rig, I dont have a problem with something super clean used either. Southport smallest offering is 26, as much as I like it, its out of my range. Im finding out with the best built rigs I need to be 24'. Jeff
