They can't do anything on navigable waterways. These are lakes formed by dams built by Alabama Power Company to generate power. The Power Co doesn't own the lakes but they do pretty much control them with money 3/4 million dollars to push this bill into law is a big push. BTW,Georgia's gov just signed into law a similar bill on Georgia Power lakes. Georgia Power and Alabama Power are owned by the same holding company. Your lake could be next.

The support we are getting from all over gives us hope. We are at $35000,we need $50000. Our goal is to raise it by Memorial Day. Once we get 50K in the trust account we turn our attorney loose.BTW,I want to assure everyone that if we don't raise the 50K we will refund all unspent donations so your donation is safe, but I am confident we will reach the goal shortly.Looking for $20,$50,$100,$1000,whatever, no amount too small or too large. Let's show the rich land developers and the deep pocketed power company that they don't control the public lakes.Lake Martin is a beautiful lake, but after Oct 1st you can't go there if your boat is over 26'11" long and runs over 60mph.Unbelievable you say? Believe it,help us fight it.We can win this. Thanks for the support. Robert Nelems
