Default Just nuked a 225 promax

I was running with 4 other boats at about 85+mph 6000 rpm's no alarms, good water pressure, low water temps on both engines, then I started to slow down. I put my foot to the floor and nothing was there. Then I tried starting the port engine and got nothing more than a click. What a great sound . Any 225 promax powerheads out there and could ethanol be blamed for this 4th of July Explosion.

Not sure but I know car tuners are having to richen up the mixture about 4-5% with the 10% ethanol. It is leaning out the mixture.

The ethanol is wreaking havoc on the OB runners these days....from what I have heard in the industry if the boat sits for two weeks or more in very hot weather the ethanol and gasoline tend to separate from each other. The refining formulations have changed from 3 years back and a cheaper version of the chemical that bonds the two during the refining process is now being used to save money. Also any fuel related break downs are NOT covered under warranty
