These are my thoughts too. Plenty of wide beam , slow and expensive purpose built fishing boats. With the technology of 4strokes and advanced hull designs , I would think a 8.6 beam , go fast type CC would be a good seller. Look at Concept what they've achieved w/ graphics , nice gauges and quality interiors , etc.

I think this needs to be a new catagory, not CC fishing boats. I have as much desire to to catch a fish as I do to chase down a cow. I want a narrow beam outboard hotrod with room for 8, a big boat ride and a go fast look, and I can't belive I'm that much of a minority.

I just think the market isn't that big for that specific kind of boat. Don't you think Fountain or someone hasnt' already thought about it, or done market surveys on it?
Concept isn't the only one out there, Renegade for instance.
But hey, I can probably show you how to make a small fortune building go fast CC's. I'm sure you know the rest. (start with a large fortune)

I just purchased a 2000 42' fountain Lightning from Michigan and trailered it down to Sarasota, Fl. with (57) Fresh water hours and not a scratch on it. My friend has a new 36 concept with verados which I like, but now he wants mine! Center Consoles here are for fishers. I buy my fish at Publix!
