they should make it manditory to do so!!! I am not bashing Fountian they are building a great product and alot of'em!! I just feel that it's getting away from the fun of it all. Reggie is the CEO of a public company that builds go-fast boats. To show a profit for his stockholders he has to sell boats period. To sell boats hes got to make them faster than the last one you owned. You have to pay the insurance not him. Somebody will always write the insurance if you have enough $$$. The bottom line is all about $$$ its what makes the world go around.

honestly, in terms of an all-around usable, functional, and comfortable sport/perf boat that means absolutely nothing to me.

Isn't there some story about SBI and Reggie not allowing Outerlimits to compete? That seems biased, if it's true.

Ok I agree that most people including myself lack the experience to operate a boat over 100 mph.And I also feel that with few exceptions, like out in the ocean with no one around 100 mph should be on a closed course.But before we all blame Reggie there are cats out there stock out of the box that will run way more and In my opinion a V hull is more stable
Also at least 80% of boating deaths would have been avoided if the occupants had live vests on.Somehow it needs to become the norm to wear a vest and kill switches.And yes I wear both all the time
