No problem, we ( George Linder, Ken Adams, and myself) created it and we are proud of it.....It was meant as a tribute to Mark Lavin...and 20 years later it still has features that are state of the art.

Wow what a craft!

How did they couple the engines together?

I notice it has multiple splash rails (lack of the proper term)
inside the tunnel.
The tunnel also apears to come to a soft point.
This I would assume would provide softer landings.

What is the width of the tunnel?

Thanks
KR

T2X:The picture of the white boat with the inline six`s is the same model boat I ran as a test driver for merc in 1967 when I started in Sarasota, Siesta Key test base, I ran mine with twin, 500`s and later with 650`s. Some kid eventually talked Gene Wagner into letting him buy it from Mercury, and he rigged it with a pair of 900`s the black inlines. I love that boat, center steer etc. if you run accross one of those put my name on it, then need a pair of 800`s, 900`s or 1000`s no bigger, as I might hurt myself.

Default Big Jesse

Every time I look at pictures of “Big Jesse” I see “Back to the future” It is like looking back into the future. 1988, fully enclosed canopy race boat, Fixed shafts with rudder steering, Oh what is that> water pickups in the rudders? Quick change gear ratios? Forward sponson sections that increase as they become more buoyant. It sure smacks of 2008, GJL and T2x showed the future. And more importantly built the future.

Richie:

Check this Website for Powercats....

http://www.powercatboat.com/

Maybe you can buy one of those listed.

2 Engines were placed back to back in each sponson with crash boxes for individual starting. Crashboxes connected into geared "drop box" shown in article. These boxes had multiple gear ratios from 1:1 thru 2:1...which could be changed out in under 30 minutes. Main drive shafts came out of the bottom of each crash box and ran under the aft motor to the drive at the transom. Every piece of that drive train was custom made including the drop boxes, drives and props.........

Tunnel width was approximately 5.5 feet...(Half of an 11' beam).
