You are right . That is their goal. Safety has nothing to do with it.

Giving up is exactly what the speed weenies want !! We need to stick together and do what we can ..write the letters to the reps and senators and keep it safe and sane out there.. THEY are the minority

I am told that it will go to the house early 2008. That, we cannot stop. This time however, they will have compiled some info from the two designated speed limit areas. Let,s hope that helps us, not hurts us.

The chit of it is - they can't support their side of the agrument with any facts! Are any of these legislators even boaters, or are they just trying to support a crappy political agenda? Do they understand the lake, spend anytime on it, or in a boat!?

It is revenge for the Littlefield accident. It is cordinated by a small group of winers from Bear island who see this as an oppurtunity to rid the lake of large powerboats .Rep P-Rod (the man without a conscience) has stated that large cruisers will be next. They want to change the lake to meet their weak needs and standards. They are a very selfish group who will lie, deceive and try to scare the public and it's elected officials to get whatever they want.

Exactly !
Not only do they have no statistical data to support there cause !
The statistical data actualy shows NO correlation between speed and an increase in accidents !
Ive been on this lake my entire life (40) years and climbing and ive yet to have a speed related incident of any kind. When something does happen its always "Joe Rental" out on there first cruise with the rugrats. We have one guy about 80+ years of age that comes and goes from BEAR island that has no clue where the no wake zone begins or even what it is ..

At the meetings I heard alot of them complaining about going back and forth to the island.. I know alot of them use Shep browns and Fays boat yard. Honestly ive never seen much traffic out around Bear..but then again we are dealing with liars
