yeah it was off the rear in the pic, there were other anchors out originally but we swung around and the box was the only one that caught and it did hold us all night.

Cool ,I have trouble getting my Fortress setting some times.may be it to light?

I have a fortress but I bought a box anchor haven't tried it yet but first time out I will

My anchor locker was just made to fit a fortress .If it was a little heaiver it might not drag as bad?

If it was a little heaiver it might not drag as bad?
It's not the weight of the anchor that holds the boat, but how it digs into the bottom. If the bottom is grassy a Danforth type (Fortress) won't dig in. You need a different anchor.

Danforth Tpye anchors are good for sand or mud bottoms.
Hinged Plow anchors....Sand, weeds, rocks.
Non-hinged Plow..........Sand, weeds, mud.
Claw type....................Sand, rocks.
Box type......................Sand, weeds, mud, rocks.
