How fast will it run, I'm am also intrested in one of Jays 34s. Do you think the third motor is woth it? Sounds like Jay will do alot of custom stuff also. Did it porpoise at all, and are you setting it up more pleasure then fish.

Thanks in advance.

Either or- glad you found some thing you were happy with!!

I wish I had a wider beam, however trailerable was one of the conditions I wanted before I bought a boat and my Concept's beam is legal.

Been busy, but I decided that I wanted the wider beam. The boat is kept on a lift so I will not trailer it much. But until I give him that deposit check you never know.

Did not sell one of the houses yet. But getting closer, I wanted to spec out a boat just how I want it so when the house sells I will order a boat right then. Have fun at the DE this weekend? Saw your pose on Rennlist. Mike

It should run right around 70-73. Depends on how strong the new 300s are. I am told they are 320 hp and that a triple engine boat should pick up 2-4 mph over a triple 275 verado boat.
Yes the boat is being set up more pleasure than fish with a custom full width rear bench.(i might fish a couple time a year out of it) It will have an arch on it instead of a t-top. Jay is local to me and will do whatever custom work that I want done to the boat.

Yes this weekends DE a lot of things really came together for me. I also got promoted to the solo group which was a major deal for me. I will be back on July 28th and August 4th. I could go every weekend! I am having a blast at the track and have only had my boat out twice since April. It is still for sale by the way so if you know anyone.....

I would have liked a wider beam as well- my boat spends most of it's life on my lift as well. It would be nice but until I can afford 2 boats I needed some thing I can trailer south for the Winter.

No problem, just let Concept know they lost a sale because you took too long to get back with me. :D

How are you enjoying the new boat now that you have some hours on it?

I have owned a Concept, a Donzi, and 2 Fountains so I guess I am confused. I met Jay about ten years ago and think he will build me a good boat.

Hey Mark...don't feel bad because I was the 1st here on OSO to have a performance styled CC and it was a Concept and I started all the talk about them here on OSO back in 2002. I also started the Concept forum and moderated it for a year.

I never got a free t-shirt for any of that, not a thank you or anything and actually quite the opposite.

See the thing about it is Concept knows that weather you or I or anyone talks about Concept or not good or bad they will still sell plenty of boats so it does not really matter like we like to think it does.:drink:

I disagree with whether they dont care about what is said on OSO. OSO has a bigger persuasion then you might think. Ive talked to many Concept guys, or guys on the fence looking at Spectre and a few other cc companies. Im actually looking at going large CC for my next boat after I get done playin with this Nortech

Jay's a good guy. He belonged to the same boat club as we did when we lived in Pinellas County. It's a shame what happened with the Cat problem, believe me, he took it very hard.

Here he is at a poker run in Sarasota, watching Maximus (yes the Miss Geico driver) change props on his 36 Spectre. The second pic is of Jay driving one of his own 36's, which I believe he sold to another club member the next week.

My Concept- LOVE IT!! I did a 190 mile trip this past weekend and it was AWESOME! It did get a little hairy in 4 footers but in all honestly it is still only a 32'6 boat (with swim platform) with an 8 foot beam- it is going to get hairy some times. After my tour of the factory- I had no fear knowing she would stand up to whatever I tossed at her, it was the GF that made me slow down..

That is a nice long cruise, I hear ya about the GF yelling to slow down.

He is great guy, I first met him at shell island in 1997 when I had my gas powered blender going with nice frozen drinks. I ended up selling him a gas powered blender. (my buddy was one of the first people to build them). I would love to build a 36 with big power but I can not insure it here in Florida, so I am going to go back to a center console. He is has been great to deal with optioning the boat out and can not wait to get it built.

Hey Mike,
I remember all the crap! That's part of the reason I don't bother to get involved. I prefer to be a lurker & do my best to avoid drama & I got a Thank you & Tee shirts from the Manuf. of my CC. :drink: Some people just do business differently I guess.

He was my mentor for ten years and helped me become who I am today. It is crazy that is has already been 3 1/2 years since his death. I can remember it like yesterday when he was building the boat and how excited he was about it.

Nice looking one for sale, I can not remember any tests of this boat yet. I think that 2007 is the first year of this boat model, I would assume right around 60 mph?

FeverMike 07-08-2007 06:56 PM

I was hopeing to find the 35 ZFC cuddy version in some boat tests with 275's. I looked at this boat back in 2002 with 250efi's. I would like to get an idea of speed and fuel mileage with the 275 verado's. I would guess 60mph in real word boating too.

I wish everyone would post stats like Whaler does!

That 32 Outrage is a seriously nice boat. Not really a flashy performance style center console but very nice looking and well built. I also like the Intrepeds but do not want to wait 2 years! My boating needs, ideas, styles change to dang frequently.

I have posted some questions on some other boating sites (fishing type of sites) and have not gotten good comments about Donzi in general. I will go look at one in person to form my own opinion this week. When I get real serious (might be soon) I will water test one.

I am also interested in the Marlago 35.

Hummm....the 35 Marlago I looked at 2 years ago at the boat show was pretty plush and not what I would consider a hard core CC fishing boat but a boat that is rigged well with stout hardware sleek lines and more as a all around CC.
