I have a msd 6btm on my boat,has over 350 hours/7 years,never had a single problem. I have run them on EVERY race car,circle track car,drag car,off road mudder etc I have built for past 20 years and the only msd box that ever gave me problems was a 7 box I bought used,Smitty

Same here, 6M2 about 7 yrs., no problems.

Todd they do make a surge protector I use them with no problems. I will look up the part# Tuesday and let you know.
