The stock manifold will support over 1000 hp !! Just ask Articfriends. I have made over 825 with mine on stock injectors on a 502 with a modified rail and a strong pump. I am on my 3rd season and still runs like new. I do have Whipple's 1000 cfm throttle bodies though.

To clarify,a "stock" mpi intake and throttle body that are MODIFIED can make over 1000 hp (I made 1115 hp but it was with a procharger blowing thru a modified 2000 502 mpi intake manifold and throttle body),Smitty

1000hp with a throttle body that has two bufferfly openings, thats impressive!!! The reason we went with the bigger throttle body (2000 cfm) was so that we were not restricting the air flow which will raise the ait temp going into the blower.
What's is the highest air intake temp level you have seen? Anything over 140?
