Sorry you lost Jake, my best buddy lucky (see Avatar) turns 9 this year and he is with me 24/7 and I just dread the day when I will say good bye. I have said good bye to three best buddies over the years Bubba Sue, Junior and Cody, and will keep Jake in my prayers.

How could you not get attached to a face like that? He was a beautiful dog. I feel your pain, as I had to do the same thing to a dog I raised from a pup. Sorry.

I lost my roomate and best friend "Malcolm" two years ago last week. The thing that hurt the most was I was on vacation in Florida when I received the bad news, My sister called me crying, I assumed it was about my dad who had cancer, I was wrong, Malcolm had developed a tumor which rupptured. I was glad he was staying with my sisiterwho gave me Malcolm as a house warming present. My nieces stayed up all night comforting him till they took him to the vet.
Three months ago, I impulsively walked thru an adoption trailer, and came home with "Nika" a Sheppard/Husky mix. She can never replace Malcolm, but she seems VERY happy to be in my home.
I can't believe how choked up I'm getting writing this.....God Bless man's best friend!
