ITS BIG BUT NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR AUTOPILOT and no look out theres channel markers out there every 1/4 mile or closer.

I've never been on a boat that ran the autopilot in anything other than wide open ocean.

I guess I don't get why in a new(er) 65' sea ray the autopilot isn't tied into at least one radar that would avoid colliding with other vessels....?

Even tied into radar.. You would be willing to rely on Autopilot to avoid other boats. In a bay. I would not be able to rest without keeping an eye out. Maybe the owner just assumed that it would drive around other boats. My thoughts go out to the victims.

Very sad. Always need to be paying attention to your surroundings.
