that was the biggest 21 foot boat I was ever in. took lake michigan waves awesome for a 21 foot boat. plenty of boat for most days on teh big lake. we were even runniing in 10 footers when they cancelled the last offshroe races in grand haven. we were suppose to be a patrol boat.
too rough for the big boys but we survived.

to make them work in lake michigan well, you want bennett tabs.

never found a single stress mark on that boat
ran 53 with a 260hp small block alpha and thruhulls

Was it red and black ? If so .... where did you buy it ?

It had been painted and was red with white. The typical black stripe under the rub rail was painted over as the whole boat was all red.
I bought it in ~1995 from a friend of a friend in Hudsonville Michigan, his name escapes me now. ( Steve Hiemstra??)

I owned that one for about 4 years then moved to a 272 Formula ( Rambunctious II)
and now own a 336 Formula ( Rambunctious III)

the liberator was sold two times at least since I owned it and the last owner was running it in Grand Haven last summer
still running strong .

Just curious ... I traded my first boat , a 211 in to Saber back in 94 ... it was a pretty good boat !

The only "limited edition" Lib I am aware of is the 2+2, which was a 201, had a factory 502 and was solid red or yellow.

The old school (late 80's) 261 is a great boat. It's the only 26' boat I considered buying when I bought my 32'. I've spent many hours on a 211 with the Ford 460 in it and it was a great boat as well, but I love the lines of the 261 and I don't like boating in boats much smaller than 26'...

The yellow and grey color scheme is the nicest looking, IMO...
