Hey hi-perf-2000, I forgot you had this set up . Did I missunderstand or are you 575 hp now !!! How tall is this set up ? Does it clear the stock hatches ? Thanks for your help !

Khadley ,yeah ,I am thinking 502 with that blower is too small to make it worth while . How tall is the 250 ? Will that clear the hatches on a 38 fountain ? Thanks , JOE

Default 250 Superchargers

Rod

I have a pair of B&M 250 MPI systems for sale that will fit under the hatch. I am asking $2495 each everything required including the intake, injectors and ECM.

I've been running a 250 with a single 950 Holley for 2 seasons. Tommy at Chief Engines says this is a fine setup. (He initially set me up with a single 830 Holley. I have since increased boost) He claims the dual carbs may make a little more HP but would recommend better heads or more cubes first. My thoughts are then your tacking an extra $750 on the cost and possibly doubling your headaches ?!

Joe,

Your math is correct Joe...575. It fits fine under my hatch with alot of room to give, but i don't know what your buddies setup is like. My friends fountain fit without mods to the hatch.

How much additional clearance is needed for the crank pulley for these blowers? I have been mulling over a blower, but as I have limited space I was kinda leaning away from the idea.

Thanks Mark ! What does Dean charge to do a dyno run ?

Hotbeek ,thanks for your info ! What boat do you have ? How much differnce in speed ,stock verses now ? How much boost do you run ? Any idea of hp #? Did you change anything else ? Water cross over etc. ? Thanks ,sorry for all the quesions but I like to do it right the first time you know !

Sean , You better beleive it ! It was done last year . Ran it last season and was worried about the motors as that was the only thing not new so he had them redone . Runs like a champ ! After I told him last year to put bigger motors in from the start and he didn't want to , Now he can't wait to get blowers on there !! I geuss maybe he got to close to mine and he caught the BUG !

THATS, what I was thinking !!! 177's not 174's . Anything less then 8-71's and I'm lost ! Thanks Brad ! I don't know if there is much of a difference between 174 &177 . Anybody have an opinion on that ?

Boot,

I have an 89' Baja 265 Force (28'3"). This is an old boat fairly heavy hull. Speed before was 58mph(gps) speed after was 68mph(gps). I run 6-7lbs boost. I'm estimating HP at 560-575HP(per Tommy @ Chief). I added stainless valves, larger cam (not sure of specs),lightning headers, water crossover with restrictor disc in replacement of t-stat.(gives more consistent water temps)
