AMIG Boat Insurance
#1
Got a quote from AMIG full coverage and it's about $1,000 a year cheaper than my Farmer's policy. Does anyone have any experience with these guys? I won't sacrifice good customer service (claim handling) for a cheaper price.

I think I paid $650 for Progressive with 90 mile offshore, no layup, trailer covered, $80M hull value, and $1M deductible on my 1990 cafe. They couldn't touch my rate for the Sea Ray but that company doesn't write performance boats. I thought Progressive was a pretty good deal - am I missing something?

Brian, sounds like a good price with a good company. I have an agreed value policy but I'm paying about 2.5 times more than you and have almost $4k hull deductible. Oh yeah, and I can't use the boat in Texas (as well as some other states), Great Lakes, or Coastal waters! I've gotta get a different policy. I want to hit San Diego this summer.
Ducboy, sounds like you have a smokin price on your policy. I'm just a little worried about Progressive after hearing all the horror stories here on OSO. Are you happy with them?
