[I know this is not relevant to the subject , I just felt like acolades were in order .

I think it is quite fitting as it gives another side to the composure of the team and they do deserve admiration of their accomplishments bar none. A number of teams have gone into offshore with a bundle of money and dissappear as fast as they come on scence - usually sans their money. When a person mentions offshore racing its had not to have that chartruse colour pop into your mind first and foremost - they are the face of go fast and dedicated to what they do... and with their caravan enroute, a person doesn't even have to have any association with boating or racing - but they can see something is over the top impressive. This X project is just the next step in evolution.....just as big of a step as when the turbines first appeared in organized racing.
Definitely hats off to Scott and the organization and wish them continued success.

Ok - definitely procrastinating this AM but wanted to add this 2 cents.
My brother is not into offshore but loves Hp - mostly his stangs'. This morning he was going to be tuning his drag motor on a dyno so I sent him a copy from post 1 telling him there is never enough Hp.
About 20 seconds after I sent it to his phone - the house line rings. I didn't get a "morning".. "Hello" - nothing, just the question' What is that going into?"
I told him to look up the forum on OSO as it was the X project from Miss Geico. A year or so back he had sent pics of the team heading North when he was running long haul so he knew of the Company and remembers the size of the Mystic.
His reply was kinda poetic.." If the world was controlled by tree- hugging Vegetarians all driving a Prius - just by saying that you were going to put that engine on anything less than a helocopter would be grounds for the #1 Darwin award... Throw in a balance of Octane loving speed freaks into the mix and tell them that you are going to light the candle in an off shore boat - you just created a life long devoted fan base!"
... then I told him the boat probably would have at leat 2 of them. Made his day!

The Miss GEICO T-55 L-7 project was canceled last year due to cost and efficiency and the specially prepared AMF/Whispering Turbines engines and gearboxes were sold to Tomlinson owner of My Way/TM (which will be running in the shootout this weekend). They make a lot of power and we wish him the best of luck.
Our current X project will revolve around the 1800-2000hp T53 703 output, It's plenty of power to accomplish our goals.
Bobo..lot of years and sacrifices to get where we are. We are not perfect but we are getting better every day. Even though we race the big boat were P-class/StockOB racers at heart. It's hard when people try and tear us down for doing our job of promoting and pushing the limits but I guess thats human nature when your a big team. People like you know where we came from and also know we haven't changed one bit. You always catch us watching the first race when possible and we always try and put on a great show whether our competition shows up or not. We still sleep and eat offshore racing.
We have some new technical press releases coming soon on advances we are making. Keep an eye out
Thanks again for the support
