Charlie was suposed to do an interview today on a local radio show. His cause was to bring attention and gather attendance for a meeting at 5 pm Thursday July 9th at the Maritime Museum in Madisonville
La. The meeting was to discuss putting the channel markers back up at the Tickfaw and Blind rivers. Those of you that run these rivers know how much *****in everyone has done to get these back up for everyones safety.
He would appreciate any attendance for the cause.

As you know Kenny, He was to one pushing for the channel marker ,its still a BAD hazard, he was looking out for all us boaters.

Barber hopefully some one will try to follow in Charles foot steps and some how keep the 200 going, its was my first Poker Run and never missed it after.

A few guys from our club and from GGCBA are going tomorrow night. Hopefully they can convince them to put the markers back up.

Good question. Apparently things move slowly here. Tried for over a year to get the piling removed from the mouth of the Tickfaw. Know several locals that tried to remove it themselves. Gone now, those that have run it know it well.
