Lake Winnebago is one of the finest lakes for testing in the midwest. JBS Racing uses it for testing our boats. I live on on the lake in the Oshkosh area and have many contacts at marinas and hotels that would make your visit real comfortable. Weather is cool, but the conditions on the lake are perfect, no traffic, no speed limit, normally early calm conditions and afternoon waves get larger.
thanks :drink::drink: |
I would agree with that remember there are some reefs on the lake, I cant tell you where but do check with the locals. The best thing about winne is the average depth is only twice that of your bathtub. dont wait too long the alge bloom sucks in the summer!

Brian,
Muskegon Lake Might work it gets some nice chop and if the Big lake lays down a bit you could shoot out to the big water in just minutes This would be less than 3 hours from you I am happy to come out and crew chief for the testing Matt |

I actually live in New Lenox, IL. I tow up to White Lake, MI all the time which is just north of Muskegon. I've been on both White Lake and Muskegon and chop on both these lakes is common, with the wind off of Lake Michigan. Then if you do hit a nice day you can run on the Big Lake. You can make White Lake in less than 3.5 hours and Muskegon just over 3. White Lake also has one of the nicest ramps I've ever been to, with a nice big lot that never closes and it lit up!
