C'mon Ilmor, you guys didn't spend those millions and build that beautiful new Indy drive just for your 625-710 engines ,did you??? I may have been born at night, but I wasn't born in the Dark!

whipple charged 725 creating a low 975hp just under their drive hp requirenments and in between Mercs 850's and 1075's.. Thats how I'd market it.

Thank you, very informative and then I thought about it and said, no wonder we never played with things that, there is no throttle in a diesel so it would never be a problem and everything I said here, I just really forgot totally a gas engine has throttle plates - so I stand corrected and embrassed that I was I so short sighted
Thanks again, that is why I ask questions and like explantions to things so I can see I'm stupid at times!

LOL well we'll wait. Jassman may be right but Ilmor likes making power without blowers, so I think you'll build a much larger V10, say 750-800ci making 925-975hp. Think about four of those in a 50' Nor-Tech!
