Probably one of the best rough water races were the Worlds at Trumps Castle back in 1989 I believe. They had some nasty water and many of the boats we are referencing here, were there. Granted you had 5 to 6's at least but nobody had rough water speeds even close to what is being reported here. Apache and a couple Euro V's definetly did the best. Great tape to watch.

32 Skater Arnesons, 145 mph passing a Fountain race boat. This boat only has 800s, at least that was advertised.

I have a 1994 32 Skater 1/4 canopy what are the realistic conditions this boat can run in? I dont mean haul ass but what can it get up on and run reasonably comfortable in? I see post all the time were people claim 24-28s run in 3-5 footers.
I mainly boat on an big inland lake and never have had any problems running in boat chop or 3 footers. I have the old witz end race boat converted to pleasure with 580ci 800hp blower motors, was just curious of its true capabilities? Thanks

Your boat looks awesome and I be your proud of and to now be in the Skater Family.

Some of you know this and some may not , I own and have been restoring a 1988 Kevlar / Vinylester 32 classic . it use to run 115 with triple 245 hp OB back in the day . That said been restoring everything for 18 mos and it is going to have 2 new 300 XS . I have raced in a vee bottom in p-5 with the OPA for a few years and what can I expect this 32 to do and not do ? I have never driven this boat and bought it has a basket case

I'm looking to update the old yellow used back in the late 70's that was almost like a yellow/orange. I don't want it to Canary looking as it still needs to be similar as I am not going to paint the bottom. I figured I could get a way with a few shades though. Yours really caught my eye.
John
PS my yellow is close to Big Bird. LOL... but true.
perhaps a dirty Big Bird.
