Are we allowed to speculate without running the thread into a brick wall? We shouldn't start thinking out loud and then see this poofed.

QUOTE JBS Racing
"Each turbine grenaded for different completely different reasons" Well there you go............ the old "Different completely different" gremlin strikes again...... And it seems that really technical completely technical reports have been written as well...... This is without question an inverted testicular compilation of juxtaposed expertize coupled with a secret hidden secret agenda of nearly lillipution dimensions and intellect. It happens a lot when the fairly capable lead the bedazzled. I could translate this.......but then I'd have to kill ya! |

If your happy with product, price and support and are on top, why change? When you can crack 200 at will, nobodies chasing you and its running good why change?
Even if 4 new turbine mystic teams appeared tomorrow, it would still be a while before any really became a threat to Gieco, simply because of the testing, r&d, setup knowledge they have aquired over the last couple of years not to mention the seat time Mongo and Precious have in a turbine at speed. I think Marc is more comfortable running 180 in the boat than he is buying a slurpee at speedway.... On a given day skill can beat knowledge or knowledge can beat skill... when you have both... . the reason geico left is quite obvious if you just look at jbs's track record under arruda's care. next all that this proves it with alot of $$$$$$$ you can buy a world champ trophy especially when your racing in a class by yourself. |

I'd lie to see GEICO, JBS and other take their turbines, buy some hulls and get involved in unlimited hydros. At least they have enough boats to run a one class race vs. this turbine cat crap.
|
I think in the racing section JBS has said they plan to make St Claire? I'd love to see Geico actually race someone!

What exactly happened to the motors? To say they "blew up", what exactly does that mean. I wasn't aware they could blow like a piston motor. If they did blow, how did they get fixed so quickly? I don't know much about turbines. For year I have had several people tell me constantly that I need turbines a d my worries will be over.
I am very curious as ton what can happen to them and what's entitled in what it takes to repair them. |
Here's my 2¢......
Turbine Marine does some of the most professional work I have ever seen! Just beautiful! http://www.turbinemarine.com/project_JBS.html |

A certified FAA commercial t5313 b would be in the neighborhood of $650,000 USD each. Turbines used in boats are not flight worthy Turbines. |

So are we going to hear more about the exploding turbines and smoking gun?
|
Smoking gun
Everyone will see and hear about the smoking gun.we are documenting everything as thoroughly as we can-not only for our own piece of mind but for criminal lawsuit. This story has taken some unbelievable twist and turns and uncovered more and more ****ed up ****.The next step at this point is depositions then we will be presenting our case. This is a case we are not going to lose.right now this isolated incident has cost me personally over $150k and $20k in lost sponsorship (so far).I've been forced to take out loans against my equipment to pay for this.
Obviosly everyone will see JBS running strong without anything holding us back from this point foreword-it's a huge relief for me and my team-back to the JBS racing that we know we are-fully functional, fully capable, and fully motivated to kick ass! |

Who cares where they are getting the money? I hope they are in St. Clair this weekend to race that would be sweet. The thread is about the turbines not about how much money he may have or had. Good luck JBS!

Not to be a smartazz, but if someone is running a million dollar boat team, shouldn't they be a little more "liquid" in terms of cash? Maybe this is the issue with Turbine Marine if JBS was always trying to get them to do things on the "cheap".
Honestly, I never heard of Al Copeland, Tom Gentry or the others saying they needed to get a loan to make the next race. There just might be more to this story than we are reading here. |

Is it? Or is it a simple game of dodgebill? Look at Turbine Marine's work............looks like a shop with a lot of ability that really cares about their product. Turbine Marine's product is the high end of the Offshore Powerboat spectrum. This is my last post on this thread. I hope these two can find some common ground. We shall see.
truth be told the biggest hurdle that jeff has is with all his *****in, is that he keep silent for too long instead of bring the past problems to light. now it seems spitefull or petty to complain. one can only guess in some kind of blind loyality to arruda that jeff thought each time things were going to change for the better. which apperantly never happened. it also seems that alot of people see pretty chrome parts and assocaite that with high performance. there's a big difference between a relaible race boat and "fancy" high performance pleasure boats. |
Recorces
JBS racing does have amazing recorces-obviously we don't have millions to spend on engines every year. The recorces I was referring to are people that would sacrifice their life to help you find out more than just happened but also why-not just why but definitively why. Also people who refreshingly care and genuinely want to see you succeed as well as provide real answers to simple questions.Getting prices up front is quite unusual but I can get used to it.
JBS vs. Geico in st Clair?...... Stay tuned |
