Mike's point is that anybody who owns an Offshore race boat can afford a single engine vee and all of the big boys can afford a Supercat lite......... all it takes is the guts to swallow your checkbook and enter a truly competitive arena.

Your first sentence, to some degree, explains why that class imploded.

And I agree with you. It isn't about the boats in the class. It's about the class in the cockpit.

All the talk of JBS but no one has even asked when the Phenomenon boat was going to join in on the fun in the Turbine Class ... ???

Anyone know if they will ever compete ???

Lot's of anti-Arruda comments coming from JBS, but still no video of the two turbines exploding. One would think the video would be the first thing they would show to support their onslaught. Interesting......

Until the orgs do a better job supporting rookie teams; offshore racing is deprecated.

I always felt OPA did a great job in that area.... After all, if I am not mistaken they were the 1st to offer no registration fees for each race and still offered a purse.
