michael the thread is great so when do you hope to pick th boat up. I was thinking it was going to be this weekend. I know you are ready but where it is now is the best place to get it right before it comes home.

Mike,

You hit the nail on the head. It was easy waiting throughout the summer bc/ I knew it would take a few months but boy I'm chomping at the bit knowing we are this close!

trying to round up a few more sets of props to zero in on the hot setup. May have to switch gears (literally) and go 1.39 but there's plenty of data there to dial that setup in.

Thanks for the support!

It was a Skater nation for sure this year

Call Mike Fiore, they broke like 4 of them on one boat Nigel Hook could tell you how two of them broke at the miami boat show. Really, not saying it in a bad way but nothing works right out of the box for anyone and nothing is unbreakable and at least this boat does not have the new 725's and they have some issues also

I don't know of any issues either. Now if we are talking racing the ILMOR components thats different.

I do know that when they've found improvements they gone around & made the neccessary upgrades.

Interesting- are there any links I can follow about this?

I know there was an "out of the box issue" with the first two- (outerlimits) but that issue was reported corrected by Outerlimits before they even ran.

I haven't seen an independent "broken" report from any end users so Im surprised to hear this, and very curious.

I know teague is offering a full waranty of them behind his 800 and is the the only third party reseller I know of to package the drive outside of Ilmor

Im curious what you've heard about the 725's

Please share.

If I'm not mistaken Outerlimits, the customer & ILMOR all worked very closely on the project as that was one of the first 725/Indy packages to hit the water. Maybe the very first Vee!
My understanding was that trio worked together to perfect the product from install to actual running. Often a manufacturer will recall an item to perform an upgrade or actually swap out the parts providing an upgraded component in it's place.

The best part about my project has been the fact that Skater & ILMOR are only a few hours from one another which has been a huge asset to working thru this project.

Zero problems with mine since I started running it May 17th. I've done three poker runs and put on several hours of blasting around in general. I'll have to check to see how many hours I've got on it.

Ilmor has been very communicative, and has offered to install some evolutionary upgrades in the transmission over the winter.

Hey, NASCAT - How about doing the NJPPC BlackJack Run on September 4th? You're eligible!!!

Any details on 725's "issues"
- or more info on Indies?

I dont see any third party backup on any of the sites about these issues.

Not saying you arent 100% right.

Im just saying I cant find any documentation on the issues you speak of outside of the first install on the outerlimits.
