I'm an 88 fan, But I'm Pullin for JJ! I think it will be an Un-reachable Goal for any future racers to pull off 4, Let alone 5... Now go down there and Kick Some Azz....... Enjoy your Boat when all the STRESS is Over....Good Luck Buddy..

The press release stated 450 to 700, so I presume there will be different boost levels for different tracks.
When CART folded up around 2006, they had made as much as 980 hp from 2.65 liter V-8's and 45 inches of mercury absolute. I would guess that the 2.2 liter V-6's will run between 40 inches and 50 inches. That's roughly 5 to 10 psi.
At 55 inches (12.5 psi) and 3.4 liters (209 ci), we made 1,102 hp at 10,000 rpm with the pushrod engine, but that was a 2-valve engine with almost NO development time 16+ years ago. We could easliy make 1,400 hp at the same boost levels today. Not bad for 209 cubic inches and no nitrous.
