Nascat,

What are the average gains for a Cat or a
V-Bottom once the blueprinting is done?

Thanks
Jon

I don't know that answer Jon you'd be best to contact Mark or Craig at Wilson Marine.

There are so many variables such as the boat they are on, drive height, what condition were they from their original casting, what HP & speeds does the boat operate in to begin with etc.

There was a 39V at JAx PR that just had some #6 lowers done & I want to believe they told me they gained 10mph but I'd say that is on the high side, heck just checking & adjusting drive toe can result in an improvement in speed.

I think you are thinking of bottom blueprinting. Seems Nascat is doing some lower unit blueprinting. Great write up, love this stuff!

History has told us we are better off pretending we're struggling to hold on & tread lightly than to take the field by storm!

Do you have any clue how many rules they've written around us??

Been awhile since I've posted any updates. Between the blazing hot weather, low lake levels & a back injury seat time has been limited. Indy Drives are performing well & the temps have cooled off so I hope to get some better video and performance data. No Top Speed Runs too windy yesterday.

A few GoPro vids from Sunday romping around Lake Norman. It was late afternoon so the glare from the sun & my lack of videography experience resulted in a self-rating of C-. I experimented w/ different camera cases in search of better sound & ended up w/ lots of wind noise. Note To Self……. Stick to the basics.
