the 188 in 2014 was with their new Black/Yellow 52' with vortech E85 v-16s. I think Myrick and Cosker were in the boat for the run....... The boat should run hard once it gets dialed in.

Dialed-in ? Not being a smart ass, I do not understand, has it been completely repowered and different drives ? Am I missing something that has not been posted ? It is still a four engine boat ? If so, it has been nearly five years since I posted this thread, how much more time is necessary to dial it in ? Educate me...

They built a new one last year.

The current boat had it's first run at the 2014 LOTO shootout and was pretty fresh when it did it.

Nate,

Thank you, I did read that the current boat in this thread....I remember seeing old boat, the boat I started this thread about back in 2010, not too long ago in the OSO Classifieds, the only thing I did not like about that four engine boat was the paint job, but I loved the boat and hardware.

Let me refresh everyone's recollection, going back to post #1 in this thread, "how did the first Mystic that had the 4 KE Engines run ? Did that ever get dialed in ? Why go a second hull ? There is something that is missing here, I like Mystic Boats, I like KE products, so I am not bashing nor do I have have an agenda, I like learning what works, what doesn't perform as expected, what changes worked, what changes did not work....I look to OSO and these thread(s) to learn and to hear from those who been there and done that.

I figured Keith Eickert and Don Onken would be as good as anyone on the planet on getting the bugs worked out of the first boat, so why a second boat ? Someone fill in the pieces, it may yet be a very interesting thread.

1st boat:
-50'
-half canopy
-steerable arnesons
-NA V16's pump gas
-This boat ran 163 through the shootout once fully dialed in, which is impressive for a boat this size with NA pump gas motors.

2nd boat:
-carbon fiber (I think)
-52'
-Rudder and fixed shaft drives
-Vortech E85 V16's
-188mph loto 2014 (still dialing in)

I don't think there was anything wrong with the first boat, I think they just decided they wanted to go faster and needed a slightly different boat to do it.
