Mini Hawk is GONE!!

I wake up this morning to have my mom come in saying that my mini hawk isn't at the dock where I left it last night! Holy chit!! Lines were clearly cut!

PhantomChaos 09-20-2010 08:25 AM

Neighbor maybe? Call the authroities!

Ebay Ed 09-20-2010 08:31 AM

Would be my guess.

Either way, sorry to hear it.

Caincando1 09-20-2010 08:37 AM

Did you report the incident with the nut job? It seems too coincidental.

1MOSES1 09-20-2010 08:39 AM

i am sorry to hear...i hope things work out for you

pretty sad the things people will do nowadays...hopefully i am wrong and the marina moved it without warning...sad stuff

good luck minihawk

Big Time 09-20-2010 08:40 AM

Can you post a pic of it? I will keep an eye out for it.

Jupiter Sunsation 09-20-2010 08:51 AM

Don't be too quick to condemn the guy that you got into a shouting match with. Local kids could have done it as a prank, not saying the other guy was innocent but get the facts before blaming the waterski guy.....

Hope you get your boat back. What is with the "clearly cut dock lines," why not just untie them?

Bobthebuilder 09-20-2010 09:20 AM

Wow. Sorry to hear this. Hope you recover the boat and catch the scumbags.

Panther 09-20-2010 09:22 AM

Damn, sorry to hear that. :(

bcfountain 09-20-2010 09:30 AM

hope you got insurance

glassdave 09-20-2010 09:32 AM

That sucks kid, i am so sorry to hear this. Hopefully you will be able to locate it quickly, its very unique and should be easy to spot.

Stormrider 09-20-2010 09:36 AM

Sorry to hear.

737jetmech 09-20-2010 10:00 AM

Sorry to read this ... I know you put alot of time and money into your boat and you should be proud of your accomplishment.I had some tuff lessons growing up ... yes it sucked at the time but it made me a stronger person.
Good luck ... I hope you find her floating and undamaged.

Bob

RT930turbo 09-20-2010 10:01 AM

That sucks, hopefully it will be easy to find, it is a unique boat. Good luck!

lucky strike 09-20-2010 10:05 AM

Bummer

Gladhe8er 09-20-2010 10:18 AM

I have to believe that is has to do with that jerk-off from a few weeks ago. WTF?!

GLH 09-20-2010 10:19 AM

Sorry to hear that... Lake George... their cannot be that many scumbags there, look around.

Check for someone with a smaller boat that wanted to move up...

the bear 09-20-2010 10:58 AM

That makes the entire story suspect to me.

I have a chitload of friends that can't TIE a line to save their life, but they ALL can untie one....

Based on your track record with other forums, I honestly hope this is not some ploy for attention. I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, and truly hope you can find the boat, assuming it's not trashed.

You'd have to be one sorry piece of chit, to take a kids boat over an argument concerning a no wake zone. Pick your battles going forward, just in case.

jfm 09-20-2010 11:22 AM

Sucks to hear. Hope it turns up.

Piece of sh!t is correct. Report it along with your incident, these scumbags don't know where to draw the line sometimes. Based on the over the top reaction you got from him he's got problems.

Bay constable found the boat! it was found about 100 yards away from the dock down the bay, up on it's side on the reeds and rocks against someones bulkhead. The police towed it back to my yacht club.
The drain plug was ripped out. The rubrail was falling off on starboard side. The side that was on the beach w/ pebbles got scratched up a bit. The boat was so dirty and the inside was filled with water in the bilge. It looked like chit!
I'm just overjoyed to get it back. Someone had to jump the fence to get to the boat. and why mine? There was also a nice intrepid that was un-harmed.

1MOSES1 09-20-2010 01:48 PM

what a bunch of scumbags...your run-in with that wake boat seems too coincidental...did you happen to take his registration numbers down?

PhantomChaos 09-20-2010 01:56 PM

Yes.....and take a pics of the cut dock lines too! That sucks......I wanna see that!!!!

showtime83 09-20-2010 02:04 PM

They cut the dock lines to make a point, and attempted to trash the boat, you pissed someone off, that does not sound random.

AIR TIME 09-20-2010 02:12 PM

its got to be the wakeboat for sure, cutting lines, leaving the other boat alone, and finding it so close. it sounds like they cut it loose and to not make noise pushed away where they pushed it up and phucked with it maybe 2 guys or more look outs. see if there is any finger prints if there smart they wear gloves.

I can only see two ways the dock lines were cut as well, the guy making a point, or drunk kids. It wont hurt to have the authorities question the guy you had the argument with, Any Body on OSO, have connections with the local law enforcement to help put some heat on the investigation??

DucBoy 09-20-2010 02:35 PM

Really sorry to hear this - I would be angry beyond belief.

Unique it is! I could use some of your help, too! Now that the boat is damaged, I am planning to re-paint it soon! I'd love some help with the graphics..

SVL-WARLOCK 09-20-2010 03:12 PM

Sorry to hear this Sam. I hope all is well. Please send me pics. If you need any paint or parts, anything I can get it for you at cost. Let me know.

Stormrider 09-20-2010 03:13 PM

Insured for damage?

Yes, it may be the wakeboard guy, but it's been 2 weeks+.
Being in HS, there may be guys wanting to F w/ you.

Yep...we have insurance. Thankfully, the motor started right up! The damage isnt that bad, as I am planning to re-do the entire boat soon.

Indy 09-20-2010 03:22 PM

Report this incident immediately along with your previous encounter and an accurate description of the person/boat. This is vindictive behavior from someone who is disturbed, you can never tell what's going to happen in the future. Better to get it on the record then have something happen again with no official history behind it. This probably isn't the first time this putz has done something like this.

At least you got your boat back.

teamsynergy 09-20-2010 03:22 PM

Post some pics. You can upload them to imageshack.org and post the links here.
