sweet set up but id still rather have turbos,

we made more HP than that at a lower RPM on a 347 ford in a capri with a sigle 106 MM turbo!

I do comend you BIG TIME for making a totally different set up work so well. Its cool as hell. I am kinda biased since I sell turbos.LOL

That must have been before my time.:drink:

Thats a rediclous way to say its a 750 lift cam.

Most guys who say it dont even know what it means. they read it in a magazine once.LOL

Back in the day,

someone told me it was a reference to duration 3/4 of 360 degrees, and you get 270 degrees

someone else told me it was a reference to 3/4 of an inch lift, 0.750 as you said

someone else told me it was a refefence to 3/4 of a full race cam, something that was hot, but streetable

Only twin screw I ever had was by my X-wifes attorney. Good job.

Sport 280 09-22-2010 07:44 PM

I had one of them 3/4 race cams once. Had 12 lobes instead of 16!

Nice set up. Post some pics when you get them in the boat.

I want to see the dollar per HP ratio.

Well, each time we've had an issue so its never been run at full capacity. It went 169mph at Havasu over year ago, with 1250hp, but port motor was down 20+ fuel psi so god only knows what power it had and how it lived through that and the Powerboat test! In Jax, with the motors at 1350, we went 172mph before the trans blew which was only a few miles from the start.

Needless to say, its gonna be faster :drink:

Well its certainly cheaper then a Merc1350 or whatever they'll charge for the "race" version :)

I have to say you are one crazy SOB!

I wouldnt go that fast in a boat if you paid me.

as for the low fuel pressure you know what they say LEAN IS MEAN.LOL

Sounds like a killer set up your boat must be one hell of a nice ride to go that fast in it.

I still like turbos:kiss:

thats just a stupid price for a turbo engine making that HP.
Said it before and I'll say it again there are ALLOT of guys who can make more HP with turbos for less money and still be relaible.

Please dont judge turbos on that engine and its cost. While its a bad azz package its designed for people who have more money than brains IMO
