I have met quite a few pharmaceutical reps who boat.....they are the "legit" drug dealers.
I had a woman who couldnt wait for me to move , at the Old saybrook dock almost hit my boat with her whaler, After I told her to be careful she told me this was her small boat she owned a cabin cruiser. (snotty as hell)

So I said "well then you should kow better!"

Then she says so what do you do for a living to afford such an extravagant boat?

I told her straight faced as hell "I sell CRACK!"

As she sped away in her whaler, the woman standing behind me on the dock burst out laughing and said "that was such a SWEET answer."

My wife wasnt amused

Anyone else ever been "suspected" by the police in the same way?
When I bought by first go fast in Florida 20 years ago I thought I would get stopped frequently by one of the many marine policing agencies. Not so. I was once stopped by the DEA running thru the Keys in the mid 90's and then 2 years ago by the local Marco Island police boat where the cop actually apologized for stopping me but said they had orders to check all boats coming in for human smugglers. In May and June of this year when I went down into the Caribbean I had to check in with Customs at Bahamas, T & C, DR, PR, USVI, and BVI and the only jurisdiction to actually come aboard the boat and do a search was Dominican Republic. When going into Cuba last year some will remember that we were stopped by their Coast Guard with guns on us, escorted in and searched including putting a drug dog on the boat. Considering all the hours I have logged in southern waters that is not bad at all.

Actually I have the exact opposite problem. People think I am the police.
Was on some water last year in Fla. for first time and wasnt sure where my destination was. Passed a boat going the other way. Spun around and caught up to him to ask directions.

He went to hand us his paperwork. It was funny.

That's funny Alec...I could see that happening as your boat is very "official" looking.

That drug label is completely regional. We run moonshine with 'em in the Ozarks.
