last year when I was 23 I bought a '67 24'T-craft then sold it at the end of the summer. This July, after turning 24 I bought a '77 formula 255, and then late august I bought a '79 formula 233 interceptor. I've sold the 255 and the 233 has become my new love.
Now cars, that's a different story. I was 14 when I bought my first one, a 1972 buick skylark which I fixed up and still drive almost every day.

Breaking the seal with my first post ... I though I was a young performance boat owner until I saw the ages of most people on this thread. Congratulations to everyone for owning such great boats at a young age. We just got out of our 24 ft. Supra and bought a 35 ft. Fountain Executioner, our first performance boat and absolutely love it. My wife and I are 33, and up here in the Northeast on Winnipesaukee we are relatively young performance boat owners....this web site has been a great resource for us. It will certainly help me get through the long winter ahead

BINGO! I'm not afraid to work. Also, I have my priorities straight. What I spend on my boat / car addiction is pretty close to what some of my peers spend on trendy clothes, stylish appartments, and weekly bar tabs.
I am fortunate enough to have the space and ability to do all my own work and actually really enjoy it.
I also have a wonderfully supportive wife who enjoys boating as much as I do. BUT... I made sure to accumulate all my toys before I tied the knot

My wife and I don't go on vacation, don't spend money on unnecessary fancy ****, don't go out to dinner much, and don't every by BRAND new cars - but we boat whenever we want and never think twice about putting fuel in it and enjoying ourselves because that is how we want to spend what we make.
Doing it yourself is also make or break for Young guys....
